ACTION REQUEST
Consider and approve the award of a reconstruction contract to Dale Construction and Renovation in response to RFB No. 2024-447 and allow the Mayor to enter into a contract with Dale Construction and Renovation for the amount of $192,920.00.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
On January 23, 2024, RFB-2024-447 was made available to the public for the construction of a three (3) bedroom, two (2) bath single-family structure at: 5901 Roberts St., Texas City, Tx., 77590. Bids were to be submitted on or before February 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
Four bids were received from Dale Construction & Renovation (digital submission), DSW Homes, LLC. (digital submission), Arkitektura Development, Inc. (hard copy and digital), and A I Legacy, LLC. (digital). On February 22, 2024, A I Legacy, LLC., withdrew their bid via email. The most responsive bid was received from Dale Construction and renovation.
The City has exercised the right to waive any irregularities and to make the award providing the best value to the City.
