ACTION REQUEST
Commission approval to purchase four "portable" emergency generators for the amount of $430,000.00 from Crescent Electric using Buy Board Contract No. 733-24.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
These generators will be used primarily at lift stations as a portable back-up to existing emergency power during times of prolonged power outages in the event of primary emergency generation failure. These portable generators may also be used to power other critical City equipment and infrastructure if the need arises.
RECOMMENDATION
The Utilities Department recommends Commission approval for the purchase of these generators.
