It has been determined that from time to time to assist the city with the demolition or abatement of nuisances for primarily commercial property, that the TCEDC may be in better position to move quickly to cure the problem.  However, in order to place a lien on the property either the city needs to perform the work or have some agreement in place, so that the TCEDC can be reimbursed through the eventual sale of the lot.  Our tax attorney crafted the agreement and it has been reveiwed by the City Attorney.  On September 29, 2010, the TCEDC approved the agreement.
