Approve and award Bid # 2011-989 Reinforced Concrete Pipe and Joint Sealer annual Contract.
BACKGROUND
Bid packets were mailed to area vendors on February 2, 2011. A bid tabulation is attached for your review.

ANALYSIS
The low responsible bid(s) meeting all specifications were received as follows, for the unit prices bid:
Hanson Pipe and Precast, in Houston: items # 3, 10, 11 and 12.
South Houston Concrete Pipe Co., Inc., in South Houston: items # 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 15.
It is my recommendation to award the annual contract to Hanson Pipe and Precast: items # 3, 10, 11 and 12 and South Houston Concrete Pipe Co., Inc.: items # 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 15 and that the Mayor is authorized to execute the contracts on behalf of the City Commission.
