ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider approval of a request to amend the City of Texas City’s fiscal year 2010-11 budget.
BACKGROUND
A budget amendment is needed to account for grant funds being received from the Texas Department of Rural Affairs (TDRA). These funds will be used for a project to supply emergency power to water and wastewater facilities. The contract was awarded to McDonald Electric under Resolution No. 10-117. Under this grant, the contractor submits invoices for work completed to the TDRA. TDRA in turn releases the funds to the city in order for the city to pay the contractor.
