ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider approval of a request to amend the City of Texas City’s fiscal year 2010-11 budget.
BACKGROUND
A budget amendment is needed to account for grant funds being received from the Texas Department of Rural Affairs (TDRA). These funds will be used for the 5th Street North paving, drainage, water and sewer improvements project. The contract was awarded to SER Construction Partners, Ltd. under Resolution No. 10-114. Under this grant, the contractor submits invoices for work completed to the TDRA. TDRA in turn releases the funds to the city in order for the city to pay the contractor.
