Consider approval of Resolution abolishing Emergency Medical Services Department and merging Emergency Medical Services Department with the Texas City Fire Department.
BACKGROUND
Merge EMS Department into the Fire Department.
ANALYSIS
The merger of the Emergency Medical Services Department into the Texas City Fire Department will increase overall staffing, decrease employee costs, and enhance overall service delivery and quality of patient care in a pre-hospital environment.
