ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve and award Bid # 2008-894 for the purchase and delivery of Sodium Bisulfite Annual Contract; to be utilized by the City's Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Bid packets were mailed to four (4) area vendors on January 7, 2008. A bid tabulation is attached for your review.

ANALYSIS
The low responsible bid meeting all specifications was received from DXI Industries, Inc., in Houston, for the unit price of $0.1049 per wet pound.
It is my recommendation to award the annual contract to DXI Industries, Inc. and that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
