ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve and award Bid # 2008-909 for the picked-up and delivered Limestone Annual Contract.
BACKGROUND
On May 15, 2008 two (2) bid packets were mailed to area vendors. A bid tabulation is attached for your review.

ANALYSIS
The low responsible bids meeting all specifications were received as follow, for the unit prices bid.
Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc.
$22.42 per ton delivered
Vulcan Construction Materials LP
$19.66 per ton picked-up
It is my recommendation to award the Limestone Annual Contract to Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc. - delivered and Vulcan Construction Materials LP - picked up, for the unit prices bid, and that the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the Commission.
