Texas City Charter Review Committee Presentation. (Management Services)

The City Commission created a Charter Review Committee in September and modified it in December.  The Committee has been meeting the last 3+ months and has come up with a list of recommendations to present to the City Commission for consideration for a Charter Amendment referendum.  Attached is letter from the consultant, Don Edmonds, that explains each recommendation.  You should have received the complete City Charter earlier to be able to review if you wanted more context or to look at what was not listed as a recommended change.  Bob Senter, the Charter Review Committee Chair, will be present to go over the changes recommended as well as discuss items that were discussed, but decided not to include.  Later during the Regular Meeting following the workshop, there will be a quick summary of the workshop meeting, certificates presented to the members of the Charter Review Committee, and then the City Commission will have an opportunity to decide which items it wishes to pursue in the referendum.
