Approve and award Bid # 2009-193 for the purchase and delivery of (6) 2009 Model 3/4 Ton Pick Up Trucks, (1) 2009 Model Service Body & (1) 2009 Model SUV; to be utilized by the following departments:

Specification "A" - Utilities
Specification "B" - Street & Bridge
Specification "C" - (1) Street & Bridge, (1) Sanitation, (2) Utilities
Specification "D" - Utilities
Specification "E" - Utilities

On December 22, 2008, ten (10) bid packets were mailed to area vendors.  A bid tabulation is attached for your review.  

Funds are available as follows:
Street & Bridge Capital Equipment Replacement Fund, Sanitation Capital Equipment Replacement Fund, Wastewater Treatment Plant Expenses and Water Distribution Capital.

Bids opened Thursday, January 8, 2009. 

The low responsible bid meeting all specifications was received from Helfman Ford, in Stafford, for the total bid amount of $151,325.00.  

It is my recommendation to award the purchase and delivery to Helfman Ford, for the total bid amount of $151,325.00.
