ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider approval of a request to amend the City of Texas City’s fiscal year 2020-2021 budget.
BACKGROUND
A budget amendment is needed to create an additional Assistant Fire Marshal position and to appropriate funds to pay for salary and benefits of this new position.
This position is classified as a firefighter under the Texas City Fire Department Collective Bargaining Agreement and will be compensated accordingly (see Ordinance No. 21-12). This budget amendment covers the remaining four months of this fiscal year.
