approving Gowan Inc. to replace library cooling tower
BACKGROUND
The library cooling tower is in need of a full replacement. The Cooling Tower was last replaced around 2006-2007, the tower has holes rusted in housing which denigrates the efficiency of the tower. The fan blades are corroded and the fan housing is rusted. Repairing the tower would be cost-prohibitive.
The new tower will be fiberglass and the water exchanger will be separate, making the service more cost-effective.
The blower section will be outside the wet section of the tower giving the tower a longer life span.
