Request to approve the CDBG 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan 1st Public Hearing
BACKGROUND
The Consolidated Plan is carried out through Annual Action Plans, which provide a concise summary of the actions, activities, and the specific federal and non-federal resources that will be used each year to address the priority needs and specific goals identified by the Consolidated Plan.
Each year the City must submit an annual Action Plan to HUD, reporting on how that year’s funding allocation for CDBG entitlement grant will be to achieve the goals outlined in the Five-Year Consolidated Plan.

- Community Development staff will gather input from citizens and consultations to prepare the draft Action Plan. There shall be two public hearings to receive citizen input on the community needs, including funding allocations.
- Community Development staff will gather public input and statistical data to prepare the draft Action Plan. The draft Action Plan will be available for 30 days for public comment after reasonable notice (at least 2 weeks) to the public is given.
- The Community Development staff will be given the opportunity to make recommendations to the Mayor, City Commission and the Director of Community Development.
- When approved by the Mayor and City Commission, the Action Plan will be submitted to HUD.
