Approve and award a contract for bid # 2022-414 Carver Park and Sanders-Vincent Community Centers Exterior Wall Repairs/Restoration & Roof Repairs Project for the total bid amount bid $272,127.45.

A "Notice to Bidders" was published in the newspaper on May 12, 2022 and again on May 19, 2022. Bid packets were made available to local area vendors. The bids were opened on June 08, 2022. The lowest responsible bidder meeting all requirements was Brazos Commercial Roofing, for the total amount bid of $272,127.45.

It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department and the Recreation and Tourism Department to award the contract for Bid # 2022-414 Carver Park and Sanders-Vincent Community Centers Exterior Wall Repairs/Restoration & Roof Repairs Project to Brazos Commercial Roofing for the total bid amount of $272,127.45 and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. It is further recommended that the Mayor be authorized to approve change orders, not to exceed 25% of the total contract price, without taking the matter before the City Commission.
