Consider approval of a request to amend the fiscal year 2021-2022 budget to accept and appropriate the Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Infrastructure Project funds for a new pump station and drainage improvements.

The City was awarded Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Program Infrastructure funds (CDBG-MIT) in the amount of $17,874,592.00.  The Texas General Land Office will administer this grant under contract number 22-119-003-D373.

The funds will be used to construct Moses Lake Pump Station and drainage improvement projects in the following subdivisions: Amburn Park, Southpoint, and Freeway Park.

A budget amendment is needed to create a new fund to account for the grant revenues and project expenditures.
