ACTION REQUEST
Consider and take action Resolution # 2023-041, approving repairs to the water slide stairs and platforms at the Nessler Park Family Aquatic Center from Jamail & Smith Construction, LP through Buyboard (contract #581-19) – local government purchasing cooperative.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Recreation and Tourism Department is requesting the purchase of repairs to the open and closed flume slides stairs at the Nessler Park Family Aquatic Center. Over the past 10 years, the water slides stairs have experienced normal wear and tear. The scope of work would include recoating the existing treads with bed liner, repainting the existing steel structure, and installing stainless steel risers.
RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Recreation & Tourism Department to approve RS Means Proposal Total at $56,036.08 to repair the water slide stairs and platforms at the Nessler Park Family Aquatic Center from Jamail & Smith Construction, LP, through Buyboard (contract #581-19) – local government purchasing cooperative for a total amount of $56,036.08. Funds are available in the FY2022-23 Rec & Tour Budget.
