ACTION REQUEST
Consider the purchase of a Self-Contained Breathing Air Compressor System for use at Fire Station 2 from Allied Breathing Air, LLC as the only responsible bidder meeting all specifications.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
A Request for Bids, see Exhibit "B" was sent to all known vendors and advertised in the newspaper as required for purchases over $50K. Allied Breathing Air, LLC responded timely with a complete bid for the sale and installation of a Self-Contained Breathing Air (SCBA) compressor system for Fire Station 2. This purchase will replace the outdated sytem that was purchased as a used system approximately fifteen years ago.
This SCBA System stores breathing air at high pressure and enables firefighters to refill air pack SCBA bottles after use.

RECOMMENDATION
The Fire Chief recommends awarding the bid to Allied Breathing Air LLC for the purchase and installation of the SCBA Compressor Sytem at Fire Station 2.
