ACTION REQUEST
Consider/Approve amendment to the 2021 CDBG Action Plan to reallocate $30,000 from the 6th St. Food Park development to the renovation of the Park Ave., Community Building.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
The 2021 CDBG Action Plan included the project "Development of Park" that would develop the lot at 501 8th Ave. N., for recreational use. The funds were to go towards pre-developments costs. The project timeline has been delayed, and as a result the funds are being reallocated. One of the alternative projects is the renovation of the Park Ave., Community Building opposite Carver Park. This project would still address the needs of improving public infrastructure & facilities as stated in the Action Plan for the original project.
As this reallocation does not exceed the $50,000 threshold, there is no requirement for a substantial amendment to the Action Plan, nor is public participation required.

RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Community Development & Grants Administrator that the Commission approve the reallocation of funds.
