ACTION REQUEST
Allow the Community Development Department to hold a public hearing to gather input from citizens to prepare the draft CDBG 2023 Action Plan.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Each year the City must submit an annual Action Plan to HUD, reporting on how that year’s funding allocation for the CDBG Entitlement grant will be used to achieve the goals outlined in the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. This year the Plan must be submitted to HUD by August 16th. There must be two public hearings and a 30-day public comment period. A final Plan will be presented to the Commission on August 2, 2023.
RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Community Development & Grants Administrator that the Commission allow for a Public Hearing on June 21, 2023 so that the City will be in alignment with its Citizen Participation Plan.
