ACTION REQUEST
Approve and award a contract for the replacement of the Bayou Golf Course Club House roof.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
John A. Walker Roofing, Inc. has submitted a proposal for the replacement of the Bayou Golf Course Club House roof. John A. Walker Roofing is a member of the Choice Partners purchasing cooperative and the bid is submitted under the contract # 22/049MF-12 and the lump sum cost is $84,413.00. Funds are made available in the 2022 - 2023 City of Texas City budget. A copy of the proposal is attached for your review.
RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Public Works and Recreation and Tourism departments that the Mayor be allowed award a contract on behalf of the City Commission, to John A. Walker Roofing, Inc. in the amount of $84,413.00, for the replacement of the Bayou Golf Course Club House Roof in accordance with the attached proposal. We further recommend that the Mayor be authorized to approve any change orders, not to exceed 25% of the contracted price, without bringing the matter before the Commission. Thank you
