This is a request for Jerry Marcum c/o William Vaden which was recommended for approval by the Zoning Commission on August 18, 2009 to rezone from “O” (Open Space) to “E” (General Business) to construct a billboard sign. Being ABST 10 A EDWARDS .448 ACS OUT OF LTS 3 & 4A BLK 80 A K A TR 8 & 8B SAN LEON FM HM TRS. Located at 12002 Hwy 146. There were no controversial issues associated with the request. There was no one present to speak in opposition to the rezoning request. The development intent was provided to the Commission by the applicant. Staff departmental comments were provided and the applicant was informed that the proposal would have to adhere to the design standards established in our Sign Ordinance. The request is not in conflict with the Land Use Plan or Zoning Ordinance. After reviewing the information presented, the Zoning Commission members present unanimously voted to recommend approval of this request. This proposed rezoning request was given approval by the Zoning Commission on August 18, 2009.  It is ready to go before the City Commission for final disposition.
