Approve the purchase and installation of access control equipment, network cabling and video surveillance equipment for the Phoenix Business Accelerator.

As part of the Texas City Economic Development Corporation's Strategic Plan, staff was directed to establish a business accelerator in downtown 6th Street. A building located at 607 6th Street was purchased for this purpose in 2023, and the EDC approved budgetary funding to support renovation, fixtures/furniture, equipment and security for the facility.

The purchase of video surveillance equipment, access control and network cabling will be made through DataVox (Texas DIR Vendor Number 176-025-1479-0000) for a total maximum price of $67,612.22. This price includes $56,502.46 for video surveillance and access control and $11,109.76 for cabling.

Funds are available in the City of Texas City's FY2023-24 annual budget from the Texas City Economic Development Corporation, Fund 801. Information Technology will also assume a portion of the cost under Fund 101-105.

Access Control - Economic Development Corp. - $13,585.27/Information Technology - $42,917.19.

Structured Cabling - Economic Development Corp. - $11,109.76.
