Consider and take action on an Agreement for Professional Consulting Services between Code Concepts Group, LLC and the City of Texas City regarding BESS projects in Texas City.

The Building Department requires assistance with the review of plans and permit submittals for various battery electrical storage systems (BESS) for which site plans and rezoning requests have been approved by the Planning Board, Zoning Commission and City Commission.  The BESS are highly technical and specialized installations which require special knowledge to review and inspect effectively.  Code Concepts Group, LLC is a recognized expert in this field which provides consulting services, including BESS plan review and inspection services for municipalities.

Recommend approval of the contract with Code Concepts Group for technical third party reviews and other consulting services relating to battery electrical storages systems (BESS).
