ACTION REQUEST

Consider and act on a request to purchase an inventory replacement for an ambulance chassis.

BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)

One of the Fire Departments Department's primary Medic Units suffered unrepairable mechanical issues recently.   

Currently, the wait time for a Medic Unit chassis is approximately 12 to 18 months. 

Note: The chassis is the portion of the ambulance that accommodates the engine and passenger compartment. 
 

RECOMMENDATION

The Fire Chief recommends approval of the purchase through the HGAC Buy program.
