Approve the acceptance of the Loan Star Libraries Grant for $18,702 from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, awarded to the City of Texas City Moore Memorial Public Library for FY 2010.

The Texas State Library began awarding direct aid grants to public libraries in the state in FY 2002.  Moore Memorial Public Library has filed a plan of action stating that these funds will be used in FY 2010 to purchase at least 175 audio books, 200 large print books, and 260 DVDs for circulation to the public.  This plan of action has been approved by the Texas State Library & Archives Commission.

This grant will supplement and further develop the library's existing DVD, audio book and large print collections, increasing the quality and quantity of materials for library patrons.

This grant will help supplement the materials funding from county and city sources to enable the library to meet its collection develoment goals and provide needed services to library patrons.
