ACTION REQUEST
Consider and take action on an agreement between the City of Texas City and Texas-New Mexico Power Company for the extension of electric transmission and distribution.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Texas-New Mexico Power Company will extend, install, or modify non-standard electric facilities: installation of approximately 650 feet of underground distribution facilities across Central Park Blvd in lieu of overhead distribution facilities as requested by the City of Texas City. Texas City is responsible for the difference in cost of overhead to underground installation, which cost is eligible for TIRZ funding.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend the approval of the agreement with Texas-New Mexico for the extension of underground distribution facilities across Central Park Blvd.
