ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve signage incentive grant for Lercy’s Diner, located at 513 6th Street.
BACKGROUND
The EDC has historically provided incentives to businesses located on 6th Street to actively promote the redevelopment of 6th Street and encourage visitation to the area. The 6th Street Signage incentive program allows for the EDC to pay for 100% of new signage for a qualifying business. Lercy’s Diner – a new restaurant opening on 6th Street - has worked with TNT Signs to develop designs for their storefront signage, three vertical signs, and door lettering, with the total cost estimated at $1,260.
Funds are available in the City of Texas City’s FY2024-25 annual budget from the Texas City Economic Development Corporation, Fund 801.
