ACTION REQUEST
Consider and approve the award of the Commission Community Grant of $5,000 to the Texas City Stingrays Youth Football & Cheer Organization for the MVP Sponsorship, recommended by Mayor Dedrick Johnson.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
At the heart of the Texas City Stingrays Youth & Cheer Organization is a commitment to rebuilding and growing our organization to benefit the kids in our community. We strive to provide a supportive environment where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. By fostering a sense of teamwork and community spirit, we aim to positively impact the lives of our youth and the broader Texas City area.
The Texas City Stingrays Youth Football & Cheer Organization holds a current 501(c)(3) status and is requesting sponsorship support for the upcoming season. Funds will help cover field maintenance, referee fees, equipment, and uniforms.
