Consider and take action on Resolution No. 2025-130, appointing a member to the Civil Service Commission.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Lacey Fleshman, Vice-Chairman of the Texas City Civil Service Commission, resigned from her spot on the Commission on 10/10/2025 due to accepting a position at a new law firm. She will not be able to take time off work to attend the Civil Service Commission meetings and hearings. To continue the uninterrupted and efficient operation of the City through its Boards, Commissions, and Committees, it is necessary to appoint members to fill these positions. The individual who is appointed to her spot on the Civil Service Commission will retain the term Lacey Fleshman was serving in, which would end 09/30/2026.
A total of six applications of interest to the Civil Service Commission were reviewed.

RECOMMENDATION
David Zacherl is recommended as a new appointment to the Civil Service Commission to replace Lacey Fleshman. The recommended new appointment's application is attached for your review.
