ACTION REQUEST
City Commission consideration and approval to select Spawglass Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contractor for the new Municipal Complex.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
The City received seven (7) proposals and interviewed four (4) qualified companies for the construction of the Texas City Municipal Complex building. The four interviewed companies were Anslow Bryant Construction, Durotech, Flintco Construction, and Spawglass. The City went through a thorough process in shortlisting and interviewing the potential CMAR candidates and is recommending a very qualified firm to move forward with.
For detailed scoring of responding contractors, please see Exhibit "A". Funding for the project will come from Bond Funding approved by the City Commission earlier this year.

RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department, PGAL Architects, and the Municipal Complex Committee Members that the City Commission approve Spawglass Construction as the CMAR.
