City previously approved a five-month rental to DISD for use of the natatorium for the 2009/2010 swim seaason.  Staff requests City Commission to consider and aprpove agreement for next four year.

Back in September, the City Commission approved an Interlocal Agreement with DISD to rent the Natatorium to DISD for the 2009/2010 swim season.  It was udnerstood the City would work with DISD to enter a longer term agreement to allow Dickinson High School use of the pool for multiple years.  This Agreement is exactly the same as the current Agreement except for the rental fee.  The fee escalates from $8,500.00 for the current swim season to $12,000.00 for the five-month swim season over the next four years. The Agreement may be extended for an additional five-year term upon agreement of a fee escalation. 

Currently, TCISD and DISD Superintendents and High School coaches are satisfied with the arrargement. 

DISD is expected to approve this Agreement on Monday, December 14, 2009.
