A Regular Called Meeting of the City Commission was held on Wednesday, AUGUST 19, 2020, at 5:00 P.M. A quorum having been met, the meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Matthew T. Doyle.

PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL
 
a.
Consider approval of a revised Master Plan and development sequence for Lago Mar Residential West.

Doug Kneupper, City Engineer, gave a presentation of Lago Mar residential west and their revised master plan.

Motioned by Commissioner At-Large Bruce Clawson, seconded by Commissioner Abel Garza, Jr. to approve Consent Agenda items a, b, c, and d.

Approve City Commission Minutes for August 5, 2020 meeting. (City Secretary)

b.
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 20-081, approving RFQ 2020-384 Engineering/Architectural/Surveying Firm. (Purchasing)
 

Vote: 6 - 0 CARRIED

 
c.
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 20-082, approving a contract for Bid No. 2020-086 Liquid Asphalt - Transport Load. (Public Works)
 

Vote: 6 - 0 CARRIED

 
d.
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 20-083, approving Bid No. 2020-385 FM 3436 Water Line Extension. (Public Works)

7.
MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS

Herman Meyer, Chief Building Official, stated that Odessey, a 50,000 sq. ft. school being built in Mainland City Centre, received all of their necessary permits and will be opening for school next week.

Luke Alvey, Library Director, stated that the Library is now being patronized by non-Texas City residents.

Laura Boyd, Finance Director, stated that there will be two items added to the September 2nd Agenda pertaining to the next fiscal year budget.

Michael Skiba, Bayou Golf Course Coordinator, stated that the Golf Course is open and going well.

Dennis J. Harris, Recreation and Tourism Director, stated that the pools are now closed for the season.

Thomas Munoz, Emergency Management Director, stated that there will be Covid-19 Testing at the Doyle Center on Monday and Tuesday.

David Zacherl, Fire Chief, stated that there will be a BBQ Fundraiser for the Gower Family in September.

ADJOURNMENT
Having no further business, Commissioner Abel Garza, Jr. made a MOTION to ADJOURN at 5:25 p.m.; the motion was SECONDED by Commissioner Jami Clark. All present voted AYE. MOTION CARRIED.
