ACTION REQUEST
Consider and take action on the reappointment of Presiding Judge Charles Dunkel and Associate Judges Donnie Quintanilla and Katy Marie Lyles.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
The court shall be presided over by a judge who shall be known as the municipal judge. The municipal judge shall be appointed every two (2) years by a majority vote of all members of the city commission. The municipal judge shall hold office at the pleasure of the city commission. The municipal judge shall receive such compensation as shall be prescribed by the city commission in conformity with the provisions of this Charter.
RECOMMENDATION
It is our recommendation that Presiding Judge Charles Dunkel and Associate Judges Donnie Quintanilla and Katy Marie Lyles be reappointed to serve as judges for the Texas City Municipal Court of Record.
