ACTION REQUEST
Approval of the purchase of a new fuel system to replace the existing 40-year-old system at Pump Station B.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
The current fuel system for Pump Station B was installed when the pump station was originally constructed 40 years ago. The new system will consist of a single 25,000 gallon double wall fire rated tank, new pumps, and hardware. We are purchasing this from Liberty Equipment Sales, Inc. via the Choice Partners Purchasing Cooperative contract number 24/016MR-03 for the total sum of $190,352.00. Liberty Equipment has been maintaining and installing our fuel systems for many years and we have found their response and expertise to be more than satisfactory. This purchase is funded through the 2024-2025 City of Texas City budget account number 602303-55350. A quotation is attached for your review.
RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department that this purchase be approved by the City Commission. Thank you.
