Information ACTION REQUEST Consider and take action on the approval of the retrofit of the Texas City Police Department's indoor shooting range.  The cost of the retrofit is $317,450. BACKGROUND (Brief Summary) The indoor shooting range at the Texas City Police Department is original to the building (1998) and has become obsolete and inoperable.  The shooting range is in need of a retrofit, so several companies were consulted to bid on the project in compliance with the city's purchasing policy. Inveris Training Solutions was selected by the Firearms Proficiency Officer and the Chief of Police as the best option for this undertaking. RECOMMENDATION The Chief and Command Staff recommend this project, which was budgeted for in the FY 24-25' budget.
