| The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking Comission approval for the removal and replacement of three existing roof-top A/C units at both the Sanders-Vincent and Carver Centers by Gowan Mechanical Inc. for the amount of $392,000.00 utilizing Choice Partners Contract 22/049MF-10. Paid through Account No. 602-401-55010. |
| BACKGROUND (Brief Summary) |
| The existing units at Sanders-Vincent and Carver Centers are the original units from when the facilities were built. They have reached their useful life-span and are requiring frequent costly repairs and higher operating costs due to their age. The newer units will provide a more reliable and comfortable environment plus the added benefit of lower energy costs. For more details and specifications of the new systems, please see Exhibit A. |
| RECOMMENDATION |
| It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department speaking on behalf of the Parks Department, that the Mayor and City Commission approve the replacement of these six units by Gowan Mechanical. |
