RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that City Council approve an additive change order in the amount of $103,427.00 to the prime contract with Finishing Touch Exteriors, Inc., for hail repairs at Billings Community Center. 

BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)

The original plan set and scope that was bid was missing some items from the insurance adjuster repair methodology. A revised plan set was issued and revision pricing for change order #1 includes repairs to HVAC, EIFS, doors, and rooftop solar array.

City Council may:
  • Approve; or,
  • Not Approve

FISCAL EFFECTS

The increased cost of change order #1 is $103,427.00 and will be funded by insurance claim funds paid out for the August 2019 hail event.
