RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the approval of the 2025 budget for Billings American Legion Baseball. The Park Board recommended approval of the budget during the December 2024 meeting.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The agreement between the City of Billings and the Billings American Legion Baseball Association requires them to present an annual budget to the City Council for approval. The budget shows a deficit between revenues and expenses. This deficit is made up through fund-raising efforts of the players and major donors.

City Council may:
- Approve; or,
- Not Approve
FISCAL EFFECTS
There are no fiscal effects for the City of Billings. The Billings American Legion Baseball Association is required to do all maintenance and repairs on Pirtz field inside the fence. The maintenance responsibilities for the Parks and Recreation Department are to provide water, trash service and restroom facilities, all of which are normal park maintenance responsibilities.
SUMMARY
The use agreement between the City of Billings and the Billings American Legion Association requires them to present a budget each year to the Billings City Council for approval. The Park Board recommends approval.
