RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve the second and final reading of the amended ordinance BMCC 24-411 Parking for Camping Purposes.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
At its meeting on January 27, 2025, the City Council conducted a public hearing and approved the first reading of the amended ordinance BMCC 24-411 Parking for Camping Purposes. Amendments expand enforcement to include non-motorized vehicles and replaced the outdated terminology of "tourist park" with the current Montana Code Annotated (MCA) definition of a campground.

STAKEHOLDERS
The suggested amendments to this ordinance will expand enforcement capabilities for code enforcement and police, which is in line with keeping Billing residents safe and healthy.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve BMCC 24-411 Parking for Camping Purposes as submitted; or,
- Not Approve BMCC 24-411 Parking for Camping Purposes as submitted.
FISCAL EFFECTS
Approval does not have a negative impact on the code enforcement budget.
