Staff is requesting that the City Council consider authorizing and executing a Contract Amendment for Professional Services with Morrison-Maierle to provide construction administration services for W.O. 10-08 WTF Clearwell Baffle Project. The original scope of the project was for the design and construction administration of baffle curtains in the clearwells at the Water Treatment Facility.  During the design of the baffle curtains it was determined that Clearwell No. 1 needs to be repainted.  Amendment No. 1 was for the design and specifications of the painting system.  This contract amendment is for the Construction Administration for repainting Clearwell No. 1.

The Council May:

• Approve Contract Amendment No. 2 with Morrison-Maierle for part time construction administration; or
• Do not approve Contract Amendment No. 2 with Morrison-Maierle which would require City staff to perform inspections.  With other projects underway, City staff would be not be able to provide as much oversight which would result in fewer tests and visual inspections of the work being done.

Funding for this project will be from FY 2011 Water Revenues.
