PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
The City Council is asked to consider authorizing a construction contract for W.O. 11-05, Chapple Area Water Main Improvement Projects. Over 6,000 lineal feet of water main and related improvements will be constructed and replaced by these projects. Work will generally take place in Arnold Palmer Drive, Mickey Wright Lane, 40th Street West, Powderhorn Drive, Snowcrest Drive, 37th Street West, and Palisades Park Drive between Rimpoint Drive and High Park Drive.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
• Award a construction contract to the low bidder, Ahanu Construction.
• Reject all bids and not award a construction contract to the low bidder, Ahanu Construction.
• Award a construction contract to the low bidder, Ahanu Construction.
• Reject all bids and not award a construction contract to the low bidder, Ahanu Construction.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Bids were opened on June 14, 2011 for W.O. 11-05 with the results listed below:
Project funding will be through City water funds.
