PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
The City of Billings through the proposed contractual Agreement provides essential 9-1-1 communications service to American Medical Response (AMR). The Agreement addresses specific responsibilities, compliance benchmarks, compensation to the City and insurance requirements associated with the provision of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) dispatch and transport services.
The initial term of this agreement shall begin on the effective date of the agreement and shall continue for a period of three (3) years. This agreement shall automatically renew for subsequent one (1) year periods.

Council may approve the agreement or not approve the agreement.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The initial monthly fee for the services provided to AMR by the City 9-1-1 Center shall be $2,117.25 for January 2011 through December 2011 based on the 8,469, 9-1-1 Center generated AMR responses from November 1, 2009 through October 21, 2010.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the Agreement between the City and American Medical Response (AMR).
