RECOMMENDATION
Parks, Recreation and Public Lands (PRPL) Department requests and recommends that Council accept the donation and installation of a park bench by Mr. Doug James.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
PRPL routinely gets requests for memorial benches to be placed on trails. This donation meets all PRPL requirements for such action. This donation comes at no cost to the City of Billings or the PRPL department.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
PRPL has been presented with a donation of a new park bench, including its installation The new park bench would be located on the Billings Bench Water Association (BBWA) Trail near the West Park Village. PRPL has reviewed the location and found it suitable for a new bench. The bench will offer a resting area for trail users and the residents of West Park Village. Please see the link to the park bench below. The donor will be allowed to pick the color and the length.
