RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends City Council approve the agreement for legal advertising services with Yellowstone County News for three years, with one 2-year option to renew, commencing on June 1, 2026.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City is required to publish notices of meetings, public hearings, resolutions, ordinances, requests for bids and proposals, and other advertising. The current legal advertising agreement with Yellowstone County News expires May 31, 2026.
Staff requested proposals for the City's legal advertising services on March 6 and 13, 2026, and received two responses from: Yellowstone County News and Lee Enterprises. A selection committee carefully reviewed each proposal and unanimously selected Yellowstone County News for the City's legal advertising services for three years, with one 2-year option to renew by mutual agreement.
