Through Bike Net, Kathie and Steve Shandera have donated $700 for a bike rack to be installed at the Swords Park Trailhead located west of the intersection of Rimtop Road and Airport Road.  This generous donation is in response to a donation brochure developed cooperatively between the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce and the Parks and Recreation Department requesting needed furnishings along the trail at Swords Park.  This bike rack will allow riders to park and secure their bicycles while at the trailhead.  This is the first of hopefully many donations to provide much needed furnishings along the trail at Swords park and demonstrates the public's generosity and interest in their parks.

Council may:
     1.  Accept the donation.
     2.  Not accept the donation.

There will be no financial impact to the City of Billings.

Staff recommends Council accept this donation of $700 from Kathie and Steve Shandera for a bike rack at Swords Park Trailhead.
