PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Yellowstone County has secured federal grant funds to develop radio infrastructure and microwave connectivity to enhance interoperability between local and regional public safety responders. The City of Billings 800 MHz radio site located at 1310 W. Wicks Ln has been identified as an optimum location for this radio infrastructure. In exchange for the use of City land, Yellowstone County will allow the City of Billings to install, co-locate and operate public safety communication equipment in and on the new Yellowstone County infrastructure.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may accept and approve the proposed cooperative agreement or the Council may reject the proposed cooperative agreement.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to the City of Billings.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council accept and approve the cooperative agreement between the City of Billings and Yellowstone County for
