PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
The City of Billings has received additional donations through the South Side Neighborhood Task Force to fund upgrades to the South Park Gazebo. The Vegas Hotel donated $1,000 and Phillips 66 donated $2,000. These donations will help fund the electrical upgrades that were an alternate to the base bid.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
Council may:
- Accept the donations; or
- Not accept the donations, and do not approve the proposed gazebo upgrades.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The donations will pay for most of the cost of upgrading the electrical system for the gazebo. The remaining $570 cost will come from the project contingency.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends accepting the $3,000 donation to help fund upgrades for the new gazebo in South Park.
