Staff is requesting that the City Council consider authorizing and executing a Contract Amendment for Professional Services with Morrison-Maierle for construction administration services for W.O. 10-08 Water Treatment Plant Clearwell Baffle Project.  The original construction contract duration for coating the tank and installing the baffles for Clearwell No. 1 was 75 calendar days. Due to the replacement of the roof, an additional 105 calendar days were added to the contract.  Morrison-Maierle's contract for the design and construction administration services does not account for the additional inspection time required for the increased duration of the construction contract. 

Council may:

• Approve Contract Amendment No. 4 with Morrison-Maierle for additional construction administration services in the amount of $11,619.00; or
• Do not approve Contract Amendment No. 4 with Morrison-Maierle. If the Contract Amendment is not approved Morrison-Maierle will not get paid for additional construction administration performed due to unforeseen changes and delays which increased the duration of the construction process. 

Funds for Contract Amendment No. 4 are available from FY14 Water Revenues.  If approved, the Professional Services Contract with Morrison-Maierle will total $176,544.00

Staff recommends that Council authorize the Mayor to sign Contract Amendment No. 4 with Morrison-Maierle in the amount of $11,619.00.
