PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Bids were received and evaluated for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program, City Chip Seal on January 26, 2010. This project will chip seal various streets throughout the city. Approximately 13 miles of residential and commercial streets will be chip sealed.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
• Award Work Order 10-03, 2010 Street Maintenance Program, City Chip Seal, to Knife River - Billings in the amount of $420,810.22; or
• Reject all bids and not award Work 10-03, 2010 Street Maintenance Program, City Chip Seal.

• Reject all bids and not award Work 10-03, 2010 Street Maintenance Program, City Chip Seal.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program, City Chip Seal, will be provided from FY10 Gas Tax Funds totaling $466,000. We received five bids for this project as follows:
